«Bozon-2M» HF airborne radio station

Bozon-2M

Purpose: the “Bozon-2M” airborne radio, as a part of on-board communication systems TKS-2M, is intended for establishing radio communication between the crews of aircraft and with the ground air control services.
Component parts of a base delivery: transceiver, AMU (automatic matching unit), set of mounting components, SPTA-S, in-line documentation set.
Types of operation: single-sideband telephony, telegraphy in the FSK1, FSK2, FSK3 modes at a symbol transmission rates, respectively, of 75 bauds, 150 bauds and 300 bauds, telegraphy using digital phase-difference modulation of the second order PDM-2 at a rate of 75 bauds (PD1), 150 bauds (PD2) and 300 bauds (PD3), transmission and reception of discrete data at a symbol rate of 1,200 bps using a multi-frequency signal in accordance with GOST 24695.
Operation modes: two-way communication with instant selection of preset channels; independent reception of speech data; operation with NS; automatic protection against: loss of a feed, short circuits in the power supply circuit, overheating and pressure decrease lower than the norm, short circuit or breaking of the RF cable; testing the subunits for serviceability; automatic tuning.

Particularities of the radio station:
- presence of automatic protection against: overloads over power supply circuits, overloads over RF circuits, overheating and decrease of pressure lower than the norm;
- built-in testing system up to a subunit to obtain effective data on the article serviceability;
- control from a joint system console;
- design of the radio by a principle: unit-subunit-assembly-element for providing effective servicing;
- cooling both from the central and autonomous cooling system depending on the article version;
- testing the subunits for serviceability with data output on the control console display;
- unification of the units construction in typical dimension 2
